Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC)

Pre-requisites: NONE
8 hours minimum mandated (excludes additional testing time and breaks)

Lecture and hands-on instruction Learn to load, unload and safely handle the most common action types for rifles and shotguns.
The completion of the CFSC and the related test is required for individuals that wish to possess or purchase a firearm for any purpose in Canada.
The course provides instruction on the safe handing, transportation, display and storage of non-restricted firearms.


Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC)

Pre-requisites: Successful completion of the CFSC and passed the test
4* hours minimum mandated (excludes testing time and breaks).
(*CRFSC 6 hrs minimum mandated for anyone taking the course after 30 days of taking the CFSC).

Lecture and hands-on instruction Learn to load, unload and safely handle the most common action types for handguns.
The completion of the CRFSC and the related test is required for individuals that wish to possess or purchase a restricted firearm for any purpose in Canada.
This course provides instruction on the safe handing, transportation, display and storage of restricted firearms.
NOTE: You must be 18 years of age to take the CRFSC Test (minors may still take the course for educational purposes).


Housekeeping

Bring an Identification with you for all courses being taken.

The current list of acceptable photo ID for the Course and tests is as follows:
• Any recognized government identification (Military, Ministry, PR Card etc.)
• Passport (any Country)
• Driver’s License
• A letter from the bishop of the Mennonite community can also be accepted as identification (attach a copy of the letter to the CAFC 332 form for the student).

NOTE: If you are on a Firearms Prohibition from the court you are not allowed to take these courses.

Student Manual (The course fee does not include the Student Manual.

Cell-phones are permitted in class to receive urgent or emergency calls only.
However, you must store them away on “silent” or “vibrate” mode while in class.

Bring some snacks, lunch, hot or cold beverage. Although, there are various food outlets around the area be prepared for short lunch break if you intend to go out to get food.

During course delivery and /or tests, students found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol or are continually disruptive or abusive to anyone in the class, will be asked to leave immediately and their course fee shall be forfeited.

Late Policy

Please arrive at least 15 mins prior to class time for pre-registration.
No one will be allowed after 8:00am with no exceptions due to the mandated course hours.
Anyone late on either day of you CFSC or CRFSC your non-refundable deposit and/or course fee will be forfeited and you will have to make a complete new booking for your required course.


Cancellation Policy

Please make sure you are available for the class date when you sign up.
Once you sign up by paying the non-refundable deposit and/or the course fee or rescheduling fee, you are making a commitment to the instructor that you will be attending NO MATTER WHAT. The class will proceed with or without you.
If you miss the class, there are NO REFUNDS!
If you wish to rebook the course for another date, then you will have to pay again.
There are only reschedules NO REFUNDS.
If you do not show up for the class , the non-refundable deposit and/or full course fee or rescheduling fee is forfeited automatically, and you will have to book your class again and pay again.


Reschedules

Reschedules will be freely accepted up to 1 week (7 calendar days) before a session, thereafter I will charge you $100 administrative fee.
Reschedules requested less than 1 week (7 calendar days) before the session are subject to a $100 service charge.
Reschedules within 1 week (7 calendar days) of a session are only accepted if there are unusual circumstances (illness, death in the family, etc.) at the instructors discretion, we may request proof to fulfill this request from you.
A maximum of one (1) re-schedules will be allowed, thereafter the non-refundable deposit and/or the full course fee will be forfeited.
New reschedule date must be selected within 60 days of the initial elected course date.
We reserve the right to limit the number of occasions the cancellation or rescheduling policy is applied.
There are NO REFUNDS if you cancel your reschedule course date.


Student Behaviour and Responsibilities

Any student being belligerent, insulting or swearing towards any instructor or student during or after the course / test(s) will not be allowed to continue their course, test and/or re-take the test the same day (to avoid a situation).
In such circumstances their remaining course fee shall be forfeited.
They will need to re-book their re-test and/or the course for another day and will have to pay again for the missed course.
Any student caught cheating during the test will be asked to leave and their test will be disqualified.
Their remaining course fee shall be forfeited.


In the Event a Course is Cancelled

We reserve the right to cancel any course.
Reasonable notice will always be attempted, directly to the student.
You will receive a 100% refund of any payments made in relation to the cancelled course, in the event we are required to cancel a course for any reason.
Please allow up to 14 days to receive your refund.
We are not responsible for any additional costs or charges incurred because of cancellation of a course.

Course Fee

Course fee are subject to change without notice as per FSESO policy and any difference in fees shall be payable prior to taking the course. Attempts will be made to provide reasonable notice in the event in any change in course fee, however there will be no refunds in any course fee paid, only one re-schedule will be allowed.
